Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love.
V. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And you shall renew the face of the earth.
R. And you shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in his consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The gospel readings for today taken from Living Faith and the USCCB.
The first reading paints a beautiful picture of God's blessings and favor.
The responsorial psalm is a cry for a clean heart.
The gospel reading warns of persecution because of our Savior's name.
The advise then is to be as shrewd as serpents and gentle as doves because of wolves all around.
My reflections:
Our current culture in theory does not tolerate bullying, and yet, when one stands up for one's faith beliefs, they run you to the ground.
Correction of wrongdoing is like rocking the boat.
Opposing ideologies. Inconsistent values.
White is black, Up is down.
My prayer:
Lord Jesus, you promised me your Holy Spirit in times of testing.
I put my hope and trust in You.
You will not leave me orphan or abandon me to the hands of enemies.
You will crown me with victory...even if it is not how the world sees it.
Your wins are of a different nature.
It is in seeking, knowing and living out Your most Holy Will and that is to continue making You and Your word known to man in word and actions.
Mama Mary, the Mother of my Savior Jesus Christ, please hold my hand and intercede powerfully for me.
